CHIPS Group of Alcoholics Anonymous - Home Sweet Home: December 29, 1992

A small, nomadic, Alcoholics Anonymous Group, known as the "Riverside Group", trudged the 'road of happy destiny' for years - meeting in churches, bait shops, a mansion by the Kentucky River (among other locations).

After moving from the riverside mansion, we became

CHIPS

— " Caring Heals If People Share" —

and this small group finally found a home in 1990.

CHIPS Timeline

Though we're again just a Token's Toss from the Kentucky River, we have remained the CHIPS Group of Alcoholics Anonymous.

This time we're Inside the Floodwall...safe and protected.

Our large, first floor meeting room will seat 50-70 people... at SRO, we'll hold 90 or so, up close and personal.

Several years ago, 2 of the original CHIPS members were joined by one of the "First Hundred" at a conference in Nashville.

Crop - Principles of the Twelve Steps

During the dinner discussion, the subject of "The Principles" of the Twelve Steps arose, and the Old Timer said, "This is what BILL W. told us..."

Written on a napkin, The Principles were given to Ross and Kizzie, who brought them back to the group.

Shortly after, Ross and Kizzie commissioned the large  "Principles"  work,

which resides majestically on the north wall of the CHIPS meeting room.
